Abstract: The homebrew D15 mobile DCC decoder is a drop in replacement of the original analog Minitrix (#11130). The decoder has been tailored to fit this locomotive.

  • Function output: LV/LR (dimmable LED headlights, 1.4kHz) mounted on PCB
  • Function output: AUX1/AUX2 (dimmable, 1.4kHz) for driver cabin (LEDs on PCB)
  • Function output: AUX3/AUX4 logic level
  • Function output: AUX5/AUX6 open drain (each 250mA)
  • onboard 4x 300uF buffer capacity (inrush limited)
  • <10mA idle current (20mA with motion sensor active)

Solder pads,

  • GND common ground after rectifier
  • Vtrack track voltage after rectifier
  • AUX-3 (LL) logic level output to drive LEDs
  • AUX-4 (LL) logic level output to drive LEDs
  • AUX-5 (OD) open drain output against GND (250mA)
  • AUX-6 (OD) open drain output against GND (250mA)
