C11

Powerboard

Abstract: The C11 Powerboard provides the layout with monitored power within a power domain.

Specs

A C11 power board monitors supplied power and protects connected modules from erroneous power conditions. If the supplied voltage is outside [12..18V], the power supply to the RTB subsystem is interrupted to protect the connected modules.

Features,

  • FDX interface (2Mb, full duplex, RS-485 differential)
  • Power input
    • Under-, Over-, Reverse voltage protection
    • 14-18V DC, >4A
    • Soft start
  • Short circuit detection with software configurable latch-off, hiccup or current limiter mode
  • HDX bus bridge (2Mb, half duplex, RS-485 differential)
    • up to 2A DCC continuous current
    • up to 2A HDX continuous current
  • Expansion slots
    • Bus Master Slot (Slot-A)
    • Booster Slot (Slot-0)
  • firmware update over the bus

Examples

Scale out of up to 16 Powerboards within a single RTB domain.

  • Slot-0 will carry the booster modules.
  • Slot-A of one of the Powerboards carries the Bus Master.
