C26

I²C / Qwiic

Abstract: Universal I²C/Qwiic interface.

Specs

SparkFun Qwiic is practically an I²C bus for which SparkFun developed an interesting collection of modules, such as sensors, displays, drivers, buttons and many more. Personally I find them very useful for experimenting and prototyping ideas. This C26 module is an EDG to I²C bridge with a Qwiic compatible connector. Features,
  • EDG interface (TTL /w signal reshaping)
  • Single channel Qwiic/I²C interface (3.3V)
  • 250mA power to Qwiic/I²C bus
  • Bus power enable/disable
  • firmware update over the bus
Note: Qwiic is a trademark of SparkFun Electronics

Examples

Two examples, where the C26 is used to build small controls using SparkFun Qwiic modules. Both C26 modules are connected in series via the EDG bus (ribbon cable) and thus connected to the RTB layout bus. The C26 acts as a bridge between the RTB and the I²C bus. All control elements can be placed anywhere in the layout. This enables flexible designs with various sensors, displays, and actuators throughout the layout.
