Abstract: Four channel proximity sensor (VCNL4040) interface.
Specs
This module provides four I2C interfaces for the P16 proximity sensor to monitor track occupancy. This module will report ‘near real-time’ using the EDG bus asynchronous event channel. For ‘true real-time’ reporting use the C14 proximity sensor interface.

Examples
My first prototype was using Qwiic Proximity Sensors to construct a speedometer for loco speed measurements. Because the setup uses optical sensors as opposed to current sensors, it can be easily detached from the layout and be used as a portable speed measurement unit. Meanwhile I have added the equivalent P16 sensor.
