P15

Minimal Powerboard

Abstract: The low cost P15 powerboard provides unmonitored power for small test setups (e.g. decoder testing).

Specs

A P15 power board supplies unmonitored power to one bus master and one booster. Important: There are no RTB bus connectors. The purpose of the board is to build a minimal setup for locomotive testing.

Features,

  • no bus interfaces
  • Power input
    • 14-16V DC, ~2A (barrel plug or terminal connectors)
    • C10 USB can provide power via an (optional) isolation DC/DC converter (12V, 250mA)
    • unmonitored
    • reverse voltage protection
  • Expansion slots
  • passive board (no CPU)
Please also refer to the C11 power board.

Below the two alternative power options available with the P15. The USB powered option is intended for decoder testing and programming but not for driving locos. Driving locos requires external power connection because the DC/DC converter only provides up to 250mA.
